Afghanistan War. Combat Footage – US Soldiers Helmet Cam Firefight During Contact with Taliban

War in Afghanistan, Zhari District, Kandahar Province, 2010 – U.S. Soldiers come under fire from Taliban fighters during combat mission and react with an immediate hail of suppressing fire. Footage shot during Operation Dragon Strike (2010).

Operation Dragon Strike was a NATO counter-insurgent mission in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, against Taliban forces, which started on September 15, 2010.

The aim of the operation was to reclaim the strategic southern province of Kandahar, which was the birthplace of the Taliban movement. The area where the operation took place has been dubbed “The Heart of Darkness” by Coalition troops.

The main force leading the operation were units from the 101st Airborne Division. Some of the heaviest of the fighting during the operation had been in the Zhari District, which is on the main highway to Kandahar and a major insurgent supply route into the city, the Arghandab District and the Panjwaye District.

By the end of December 2010, the operation’s main objectives had been accomplished. The majority of Taliban forces in Kandahar had withdrawn from the province, and much of their leadership was said to have been fractured.

  1. Camera guy was a total expert at positioning fire until the AT4 was unlocked. Then his no0b tank started to show and I lost respect for a camera warrior. Kek try again you lame ass trying to tell people what to do yet you can’t WAR. Lol

  2. WOW! over 80 years ago 😮 & it looks so futuristic almost like modern warfare, i had no idea they used m4's back then & RPg's let alone the U.S. involvment inthe middle east prior to WW2 😱 i thought they were in isolation in the 30's the picture & sound are amazing for its time!

  3. Seems to me this soldier I assume was the Sarge by sounds of it just got caught up in the fog of war as they say. he  was too excited if you ask me, did not take care of his troops properly if you ask me.  Should have set up fire positions for his troops and properly located enemy and then set up fields of fire and then take proper action.

  4. What are the chances of being able to take an M1 Garand into battle? New weapons look like children's toys. I prefer style over substance.

  5. His partner: "You don't know how to shoot that"
    Him: "Shut the fuck up"
smh that guy was a lil too much.. Lil show player for the fuck of it

  6. I sure would not want someone frigging around and trying to clear their weapon standing BEHIND me… totally unprofessional and highly dangerous.
I guess it reflects on poor training and discipline!
